The demand for X-Vik semen is huge, both domestically and internationally. We supply semen from Holstein, Jersey as well as Danish and Swedish Red breed bulls. The pregnancy rate is reduced a little by using sexed semen. A straw of X-Vik semen contains 2 million sperm cells compared to 15 million sperm cells in a straw of conven-tional semen. This explains the lower pregnancy rate. We recommend to use X-Vik for heifers in heat as heifers are more likely to get pregnant than cows. In addition, in-semination with X-Vik results in easy calvings due to the low average size of heifer calves. Combined with good herd management you will achieve excellent results with X-Vik.
