The family of D Banker strikes
through with three new top Ranking bulls: Olymp and Opman (full brothers of
Oman Justi) and Rødding (son of Ramos). D Banker is half brother to the dam of
these three top bulls. The family is the world famous “Bel Letta” family.
Two full brothers of Oman Justi:
Olymp and Opman.
D Olymp (Oman Justi x KOL Nixon
x B Patron) is full brother to D Opman. The granddam to Olymp and
Opman is Sønderbygaard B Patron (EX-90), and she is also dam to D Banker. This
B Patron cow bred a daughter Sønderbygaard Nixon who gave birth to both Olymp
and Opman. She has been a tremendous high producing cow with 15.000 kg milk in
average in her three 305 day lactations. Olymp is MR. EXCELLENT, he is
very positive for all traits – easy calvings very good udder health inclusive
high productive cows with very good conformation traits – 19 daughters are
classified up till now. NTM + 40.
D Opman (Oman Justi x KOL Nixon
x B Patron) is full brother to D Olymp. Opman breeds similar to
Olymp, very positive for all traits – easy calvings, very good udder health
inclusive high productive cows with very good conformation traits – 33
daughters are classified. He is MR EXCELLENT RESERVE. NTM + 34.
The Ramos son
D Rødding (Ramos x V Brando x B
Patron) has also Sønderbygaard B Patron (EX-90) as granddam, so Rødding is
grandson of the dam to D Banker. Rødding breeds excellently for production and
gives good health traits. The conformation traits are excellent. Rødding breeds
strong cows with excellent type. Stature is good. Strong - well attached and
well shaped udders – workability is very good. 46 daughters are classified - Very
nice cows with excellent production. NTM + 35.

Oscar - Once – are very high ranking – all of them sons of Oman Justi
Three full sisters out of Lukas
Monette from Aslundgaard – Musse, Mulan and Mulat - gave birth to four top ranking

producing cows and very good cows for conformation traits.

x NJY Hubert) - Production is very high especially the protein production.
The health traits are good. 32 daughters are classified until now – they look
good with the right type, very fine bone quality in the legs and good steep
foot angle – very well attached for udders and balance in the udders. The
health traits are very good too. The dam is still alive and she is a fantastic
producer. NTM +36.
D Omega (Oman Justi x D L Aaron
x M Bellwood), Omega breeds excellently for production – the health
traits are good and the cows look powerful in their exterior. 40
daughters are classified. NTM +31.
D Lykke ( A Lucente x TVM Hesne
x Lukas), Lykke breeds very good for production and conformation traits. The
udders are really good. 26 daughters are classified. NTM +27.
D Dumas (V Dahl x T Funkis x SK
Flex) – Dumas is a pure Dane. Dumas is genomically tested. He has three
generations of Danish bulls in the pedigree. Dumas is the second highest
ranking son of V Dahl. Dumas breeds very good components in the milk and super

Front breeds super for conformation – good mastitis resistance and very good

Thor), Celtic is out of the KOL Nixon family – the granddam is Nixons full sister.
Celtic is a specialist for protein production an excellent for
calving ease – 93% calves alive from 1st calvers. NTM +23.
Top Ranking Bulls
D Dundee X-Vik (V Dahl x T Funkis x VAR
Troy) is genomically tested. NTM has gone up to +36, one unit higher than
last proof. The pedigree is Danish, sire is V Dahl, maternal grandsire is T
Funkis and maternal gr. grandsire is VAR Troy. The dam of Dundee is still going
strong in her 7th lactation with a very high production of 980 kg fat and protein in average for seven years. She is a very beautiful cow classified excellent
90 points. Dundee is an excellent all-round bull. The daughters are very
high producing – and udder health is very good too. Conformation traits are positive
and temperament is super.
D Onside (T Officer x Ha Manfred x
B Patron) is an excellent high ranking Holstein bull. Onside is bred by TIRAN
Holsteins. NTM is +34 – plus three units since last time. D Onside is a
different kind of pedigree. Production is excellent. Onside now has 165 daughters
in milk. All ancestors on the female side have scored very high. The dam is Tirsvad
Manfred Cindy VG 89 – grand dam is Tirsvad Patron Claire EX90 – and the great
grand dam is Tirsvad Luke Classic and she was out of the Vir-Clar family from
the USA. D Onside is next generation to our very well-known proven bulls HMT
Olympo, D Legal and the Swedish Holstein bull K Claus. These three bulls all
have Tirsvad Patron Claire as their dam and she is grand dam to D Onside.
Onside breeds very good feet and legs. The legs are rear width and hock quality
is clean.
D Sammy (B Sabre x New Ronald) –
he is very popular all over Europe. Sammy now has NTM +33. The production
index is super. The index for resistance against other diseases is 129 –
excellent. The conformation traits on feet & legs and mammary system
are excellent. 108 daughters are up till now classified. Sammy is at the moment
one of our most popular bulls. D Sammy is today sire of sons in Holstein programs world wide and in VG the most used sire of sons. The demand for Sammy
is therefore very high. Semen availability is limited.
D Freedom (A Ford x H Boudewijn x
Celsius x D Astre) - Freedom is the best A Ford son in VikingGenetics. The
family is excellent producing all with good components in the milk. Freedom is
the highest ranking bull for production. Mr. Production.
The cows have very good stature and excellent production. Freedom breeds easy born
calves and easy calving daughters. The cows have very good milking speed.
The Freedom family on the female
side has produced excellently with very good components. The grand dam and gr.
grand dam have been classified very well. NTM +29.
D Banker (V Bojer x B Patron x
Belt) is still very high in production index – with 147 daughters in milk.
Health trait indexes are very good and this means that Banker really can
improve the health conditions in his offspring. Longevity index is 113. Banker
now has 101 daughters classified – they have very good traits for body and mammary
system. Banker is an “all round” bull and at the moment the most used bull at
our home market. Banker is today sire of sons in many leading Holstein programs
around the world. Banker is very good for all traits: production,
functionality, conformation and longevity. The NTM is +28.
D Palm (H Palmer x VAR Edvard x
VAR Alf) - NTM +27 – plus three units since last proof. Production is good.
Very good indexes for fertility and calving ease. Longevity index
is not yet available. Conformation traits are okay. The dam of D Palm is a high
productive cow - classified VG.
D Corinth (V Curtis x TVM Hesne x
VAR Varan) - NTM +29. Corinth’s sire is the famous Danish top ranking bull V
Curtis. Fertility index is very positive. The cows are easy calving. Corinth breeds very well for stature and good depth and width in his daughters. Udder
health index lower than average.
T Ulster (Lukas x M Aerostar x
R Promise) has increased his indexes over a period of time. Ulster breeds daughters with high production including very good health traits.
Reproduction traits are also super. The dam of Ulster; Tolstrup Aerostar Lady
EX 90 was an excellent cow and she gave birth to other high ranking bulls like
V Epalier. Ulster has 3,000 daughters in his proof and 1,000 daughters are
classified.
D Dalby (V Dahl x T Funkis x VAR
Platin) entered the top list at the latest proof. Dalby continues on the same
high level – with NTM +25. Dalby is bred out of Danish top proven bulls. Dalby
is among the first sons of V Dahl. Dahl is still a high ranking bull. Dalby has
151 daughters in milk and 103 daughters classified until now. Dalby breeds
daughters with very good mammary systems and especially good udder
health. Milking speed and temper is excellent.
D Costa (VAR Calano x TVM Hesne
x L Winchester) – Calano son - bred by TIRAN Holstein. The family is Winchester
Jenny. The dam is TIRAN Hesne Johanna – she is full sister to RGK Esne. Costa
is coming up with NTM +25. Costa is a very good allround bull. Production is
good. Health and reproduction traits are very good like the traits of VAR
Calano. The type of daughters are excellent similar to VAR Calano -
especially in feet and legs. Costa breeds like Calano. Costa breeds strong hook
quality and bone quality and superior udder quality. Costa fits very well for
heifer pregnancies.
D Jesper (Jurassic x Luxemburg x
Oscar). Jesper
is our first Jurassic son, his NTM +25. The daughters have very good traits for
calving ease and certain strong traits for conformation. 64 daughters
are classified. NTM +25.
D Mesne (Merdrignac x Jocko Besne
x Lord Lily) – NTM is +24. Mesne has good index in calving ease and health
traits as well as in body and udder traits. Mesne is Viking’s best
combinations in the bloodlines of Merdrignac and Jocko Besn.
D Rangers (Riverland x Lukas x
Patron) - Rangers is the first son of Riverland. The dam is full sister to D
Legal and K Claus in Swedish Holstein from Tirsvad Anderstrup. Granddam is the
famous Ex-90 Patron Claire. She is also dam to HMT Olympo.
Rangers is a very good all-round
bull. The daughters have good fertility and the calves are easy born too.
NTM +23.
D Michael (Merdrignac x D Novalis
x Ked Juror) - Michael is a specialist in producing daughters with
excellent conformation traits. They also have very good reproduction
traits. Good protein components. NTM +23.
D Cresten (C Courier x Manat x
Basar) Cresten has NTM +22. The daughters produce excellently. 159
daughters are in milk. Milk components are very good. Milking speed and
temperament are really good. The proof in conformation traits is really good. Cresten
breeds daughters with high rear udders and a certain strong foreuddder attachment.
Cresten breeds very fine cows. The dam is Soegaard Manat Sandra Ex 90.
Classification on the dam side is for three generations EX 90.
D Cash (C Champion x T Lambada
x East Cash) is quite a new bull. The dam Fabjerg Lambada VG 87 is one of the
most well-known Lambada daughters in Denmark and she is still going strong. The
grand dam is an East Cash cow VG 89. D Cash has 132 daughters in milk. They
have good components in the milk. 96 daughters are classified. They have
excellent conformation traits and especially good udders. NTM +19.
D Day (S Dutchboy x VAR
Zanuck x Dannix) - D Day is the best Dutchboy son. He is out of the famous
Mascot Jeanette family from the Tirsvad Holstein farm. This family has also
bred V Ersgard, Ränneslöv and D Costa - promising bull.
Day has high
production, strong progress for components and good longevity. NTM is +22.
D Contra (C Champion x Lukas x
S-B Mascot) is bred by TIRAN Holstein. The dam is Lukas Joker VG 86 and she is
full sister to V Ersgard. Contra daughters are high in production. Contra has 153
daughters in milk. Contra has very high index for fertility. The
daughters are on average concerning conformation traits. NTM +21.
D Crazy (V Curtis x S Rudolf x
S-B Mascot) - Crazy is out of the very famous Jeanette family. The dam is the
famous bull dam Tirsvad Rudolf Jessica VG 87. The offspring of Crazy are high
producing cows with excellent fertility. The cows have very good
stature. 120 daughters are in milk. NTM +22.
RGK Epo (E Addison x T Eberhard
x CEN Spruce) – the daughters have very high production. Epo is excellent
to use to get easy born calves. NTM +21.
Famous bulls used for a longer
period of time
V Exces (Luxemburg x R Leadman)
peaks the list – as usual. Exces’ proof is based on second crop generation.
Exces is still the top bull according to NTM +37. VikingGenetics’ highest
ranking bull is Exces – which we have ever seen. Exces is one of the best bulls
for production. He fits very well into the Viking breeding system. V
Exces has a very high production index at 129 with 15,000 daughters in the
proof. Exces has been used heavily as sire of sons in VikingGenetics.
V Eaton (Gibbon x Belt) now has
4,100 daughters classified and 9,500 daughters are in production in VikingGenetics.
The cows have very nice type, they are easy to handle and the daughters are
among the best for udder health and udder qualities. Eaton breeds
daughters with very high components in the milk. Eaton’s dam is the famous
Dutch cow Delta 108 Belt and the grand dam is Delta Esmaralda. The export from
Eaton is a success.
First Eaton son in proof: D Elegance (V Eaton x T Ulv x T
Picasso). Elegance breeds excellent cows like his father V Eaton. Elegance
daughters have very good components in milk. The first proof for udder health
shows a very high index. The dam was scored excellently. NTM +19.
V Ersgard (Lukas x S-B Mascot) has
2,100 daughters classified and 5,600 daughters are in production. Ersgard is
a good bull for production. Easy calving cows, healthy cows, longevity
index 115. Good udders. NTM +25
RGK Didrik (Lukas x Esentation) has
very good indexes for conformation and health traits. Didrik can be used as
all-round bull. The cows are average on size and with
good conformation as regards functionality. Health traits are
unique. Didrik will be very good in combination with Jocko pedigrees.
NTM +22.
VAR Hector (Jocko Besn x Lord Lily)
breeds superbly for protein production. The daughters have super feet
and legs and excellent type. The daughters are easy to handle and the milking
speed is excellent. Hector has been used as sire of sons.
HMT Olympo (V Brando x B Patron) –
Brando son – the dam of Olympo is Tirsvad Patron Claire. Olympo is half brother
to D Legal. Olympo breeds very strong cows with good health - all
indexes of Olympo are very positive – except milking speed.
D Legal (Lukas x B Patron x N
Luke) - Legal is the same family as HMT Olympo and D Onside (our new top bull).
Legal is half brother to HMT Olympo and Tirsvad Patron Claire is the dam. Legal
breeds very well for health traits and conformation.
V Erry (L Winchester x Lasso x
S-B Mascot), Erry breeds very well for all traits. Longevity and health
traits are very good and Erry breeds very good conformation traits. The
second crop daughters have shown very good results, until now 1,551
daughters are classified. Production index is high. Erry has 4,000 daughters in
the proof. Erry has NTM +23.
VAR Elvis (Luxemburg x Dannix) is
among the best bulls for breeding daughters with superb longevity,
the index is 128. Reproduction traits are also excellent. Elvis has in Denmark 22,200 daughters in milk. He has been used in 180,000 cases of insemination in Denmark. Elvis has NTM +24.
VAR Calano (Ked Juror x B Cleitus)
has 36,000 daughters in milk and 11,200 classified in Denmark. Calano has been used in many countries. More than 100,000 doses have been exported. Calano breeds
cows with an excellent type – healthy cows with high longevity. Calano
has NTM +20.
